Southwest Underground was formed in 2002 as a forum for the party scene in this green and pleasant part of the world. In the years since, SWU has evolved to become the premium online stop for reviews, listings, and news flowing from South West club and music culture.
In 2009, SWU steps things up to the next level with a new website and our latest venture SWU TV. This visual dimension allows us to bring you interviews with some of the biggest performers and footage from the best club nights happening on the South West scene.
On the audio tip, we now have 27 radio shows, running all genres: drum and bass, dubstep, jungle, breaks, house, techno, reggae, and experimental. Weekly radio shows and live broadcasts, featuring established names and the freshest new talent, are all available as downloads.
Some things haven’t changed on the new website – we’ve still got all the regular features like listings for events going on in the area (just more user friendly now!), chat forum, competitions and giveaways. We’re always on the look out for news, contributors, ideas and feedback. This is what keeps SWU fresh – so if you have something to say, get in touch!
As ever, Southwest Underground has a simple aim. To bring information to the people and support the promoters and events which have the South West a reputation for quality nights in dance music.
