THE CELLAR DOOR - JAMTHECHANNEL HOSTS FREE PARTY AT EXETERS NEWEST VENUE
JamTheChannel are throwing a free party at Exeters newest venue ‘The Cellar Door’ this weekend
(Sat 22nd October).
The newly refurbished venue (formally Volts / Riva) is located on Exeters quayside. The new management have stated in their manifesto that they aim to provide a platform for underground music and art in Exeter:
“The Cellar Door. The new underground music and art venue hidden beneath the cobbled streets of the Quayside. Offering an outlet for Exeter to make some noise, we will always have a stage to rock, decks to dominate, a wall to paint and a dance floor to own.
A progressive and promoter friendly venue, The Cellar Door will give a platform for all the up and comers as well as hosting the legendary West Country nights.
Built from the ground up by a young team who genuinely want to see people having a good night without having to take out a mortgage. Our two cavernous cellars will set the scene for some great music and an awesome party for all..”
With a rich history of underground events and DJs having already passed through the doors of Volts and Riva, the building itself is no stranger to Dance music. Carl Cox, Chase and Status, Chris Liberator and many more have all performed in this space in days gone by.
