Exeter’s eclectic night Cabaret Voltaire pulls it out the bag again with one of the biggest names in electro house. Micky Slim provides the best in party roughage – filthy electro, wonky basslines and twisted tech house. His productions are released on his very own Bombsquad label; who can forget his sweat inducing remix of ‘Jump Around’? The Birmingham bad boy’s residency at Godskitchen made his name, where Slim supported the likes of Erick Morillo and Chris Lake. Alongside names such as Tiesto and Deep Dish, he’s been a regular at the Global Gathering Festival, playing to audiences of 50,000. A live Essential Mix on Radio 1 brought him to international attention. Appearances at clubs the size of the Cavern are virtually unheard of, so do not miss out – this is unlikely to happen again.
