THE DEEP END

Unashamedly bass heavy dance music! THE DEEP END, (formerly Breaksphere) is the longest standing dubstep night west of Bristol. Based in Exeter.

The Deep End's mainly a dubstep crew nowadays, but all bass heavy genres get laid down on the shows... Garage, hiphop, grime, bassline, jungle, drum & bass, breaks and whatever else the lads are feeling gets offered up to the listeners. Random banter, booze and blazing are the backdrop for the shows.

Mystery usually hosts the shows, often nowadays alongside the vocal talent of Eleanor, and with regular mixes from the residents, Mystery, Ron Willis, Illogik, Pulsar, Dutty Dan, Corticyte, Compo, You Let Them Catch Up and guests...

The crew are playing more and more of their own and other local producers' beats nowadays, showcasing the best of the west, as well as plenty of fresh tracks from further afield. There's usually free tickets to the next Deep End rave up for grabs, normally in response to obscure competition questions that they make up on the spot, and there's normally a healthy stream of jokes about Pulsar's mum, Mystery's rollerskating antics and other such base/bass humour!

South West Underground have broadcasted live from Deep End nights too, featuring mixes from Plastician, Headhunter, Rogue State and many more. We're on every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month, from 10-midnight, so get locked and get involved in the chatroom!
